Plan With Me: Recollection Stickers

I’ve recently been unhappy with my planning style. White space or no white space? I wasn’t sure, but I then decided to go with white space and I’m very happy with it.

I used the Michaels Recollections stickers to put in events and little things that I knew were happening. Of course I had to have my checklists.

I still have to perfect it. I’m not entirely happy yet, but once I get used to this new style I hope I will be.

Plan With Me: Boulderbon

So for this week’s layout I decided to go with Boulderbon’s May Mystery kit. She does have her own Etsy store where she sells kits and functional items as well as a monthly subscription where you receive a mystery kit every month.

The mystery kit starts at $13.95 for 8 pages! That is such a great deal since I’ve seen so many Etsy shops sell both individual kits and monthly subs for no less than $24. This is my third mystery kit and caboodle I’ve been very happy with what I have received. Billing is on the 20th of every month and kits begin shipping between the 1st and 5th of every month, but I usually receive mine by the 6th or 8th.

I would definitely recommend everyone checking out both her Etsy and her subscription. It is definitely an offer you don’t want to pass up.

Plan With Me: Coffee Corner Crafts

Two posts in one day?! Yup. I really needed to get this post out. So I love trying out new planner shops because I love supporting them. I was just browsing YouTube a few weeks ago when I received a message from Coffee Corner Crafts saying that she was a new Etsy sellers who was trying to get her shop off the ground and I would be interested in her sending me some of her products.

Okay I have a small YouTube channel with about 495 subscribers so these kind of offers don’t come my way. Instead of replying I went to her Etsy store and browsed around to see if there was anything I would be interested in. There were and she was having a 70% off sale so I bought a little of everything.

I received my package a few days later and was going to feature her shop in a haul video, but while I was filming I had a whole sheet of bow clip stickers that weren’t cut. Almost everything that I bought weren’t cut all the way through or at all. I decided not to show her products in the video since I had actually ruined a deco sheet while trying to peel up the stickers.

I decided to go a plan with me using her Easter Lily kit instead. I was filming and the kit wasn’t that hard to work with until I got to the half boxes and the smaller detailed stickers such as her weekend banner and icons. I ripped the weekend banner in half trying to lift up the stickers. I couldn’t continue the plan with me afterwards.

I took a step back and came back to the spread a few days later. Thankfully I was pre-planning. The more I looked at and wrote in my plans I was happy with how the spread turned out. I did go and leave a review on her Etsy store. Unfortunately I couldn’t leave a five star review because the quality isn’t there. She did change her paper and recognized that there was a problem. But personally I can’t bring myself to support her.

If you’re interested in her shop you can check her out on Etsy and instagram @coffeecornercrafts

Happy Planner April Monthly Spread

Okay so I had been trying to find useful ways to use my monthly layout in my happy planner. I used to put in all of my bill dues and important events, but I found that I remembered better if I put them in my weekly spread instead since I hardly ever looked at my monthly page.

The solution to that? I started using my monthly view for memory keeping. Every day I would go in and write in a highlight of something that happened. It doesn’t have to be a big event or anything like that. I’ve put in things like I bought a new planner or we ate pizza together as a family. The events can be anything that you want to remember.

I also started practicing my hand lettering which is actually me going onto google and typing in “cute fonts” and that practicing those fonts until I’m happy with the results. So using the new fonts that I learned I go in and fill out my monthly layout. I do add a few stickers that I get from Dollar Tree as added decoration.

I’m happy with the results and it gives me a reason to look back at my monthly layout and see how the month was.

Mid-Week Spread: Guardians Of The Galaxy

I had actually wanted to create this post on Monday, but my laptop charger decided to give out on me. I’m not actually going to buy a new one until next week, but I managed to create a setup that actually allowed the charger to sputter to life. Downside? I can’t move it or pick it up.

So onto the plan with me! In order to celebrate the release of the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie I bought a kit from Chasing Chels on Etsy. I’m not gonna lie I almost felt overwhelmed by how much stickers I got and I’m a no white space planner.

Any ways I made it work and had so many leftovers. Now that I have gotten all of my rambling out of the way let me go ahead and show you the mid-week pic of my spread.

Etsy Sticker Haul Prt. 1

The very first time I bought a planner was in January 2016 for my birthday. I researched long and hard, and at first I wanted an Erin Condren Life Planner, but I could justify the high cost that I would be paying. I watched a lot of YouTube videos and eventually decided on the MAMBI Happy Planner. I didn’t actually start buying sticker kits until early October with my first monthly it from Fabulously Planned. Ever since then I had been hooked.

Although, I love buying kits, but they can get expensive. I was a college student at the time so kits had to come last which is why I love buying kits during great sales. Sticker makers always have frequent sales that make kits so much easier. So now I’m going to go ahead and share some of the kits or accessories that I have bought for my classic size happy planner and my mini happy planner.

First of is Fabulously Planned. As previously mentioned I had bought my first monthly from her and a one page HP sampler. Unfortunately, her kits hadn’t been cut properly so I was turned off from buying from her. Recently though, she started doing $1 Wednesday sales were certain mini functional sheets would go on sale for a $1 and shipping was only $.49. Of course this means that there is no tracking unless you add in an item that is NOT a $1 Dollar Wednesday deal. Fabulously Planned does offer kits for the Erin Condren, mini kits for the Happy Planner, monthly kits for both, and planner clips as well.

Shown: Mini Unicorn Me Time, Mini Penguin Movie Night, Mini Penguin Laundry, Olivia and Pet, and Mini Penguin Sweeping.

Next up is Jump To It Designs Inc. I love buying their monthly kits. They are very affordable and come with two pages plus and add on appointment labels extra if needed. I also recently just bought some of my very first weekly kits as well and their kits come in many different versions. They have kits for Erin Condren Vertical and Horizontal, Happy Planner Classic and Mini. You can also get their kits in either matte or glossy. What I also love is that every Thursday through Friday (and sometimes through Sundays) they will have new releases at a discounted price of 25% off plus added bonuses for free! If you buy a kit you will get 6 sheets, a matching Popcorn sheet and a matching glitter header sheet for $13.50 (for ether EC vertical or HP classic)! EC Horizontal will have 5 sheets plus the bonuses  for $11.25! HP mini will have a two sheets for $5.44 and if you want the Popcorn sheet it will be $6.94 (for matte). Lastly they include a double box bonus that you can only get during the new releases sale!

Shown: May Monthly and Sunday Morning HP.

Up next is a subscription service from Boulderbon who sales sticker kits, but has a monthly sticker kit subscription in which for $13.95 a month you get a kit delivered to you. It is a ‘mystery’ kit, but she does do sneak peaks on her Instagram @boulderbon. She also eventually brings the kits to her shop as well (Boulderbon on etsy). I haven’t bought directly from her etsy shop, but I have been subscribed for two months now and I love both kits that I have received. She only offers kits for the Erin Condren in matte or glossy.

Shown: April Mystery Kit.

Last (at least for this post) is Wild Summer Designs. I had bought a kit from her for Thanksgiving and really enjoy it, but since then she has reformatted her kits and I love this new format. She does offer matte and glossy, and always has weekend sales that include 50% off no min, 55% off $30 & 65% off $75. She does only make kits for the Erin Condren.

Shown: Piano, and Sprinkles.

And that’s it! For now at least. I did receive a few more packages, but I don’t want to make this post any more longer than it already is. If you would like to see how these kits are used in my happy planner especially since a few of them are made for the Erin Condren you can check my Instagram or YouTube channel. Thanks for reading!

Take care. Bye bye.

Planner Accessories Haul

Last week Michael’s had amazing deals so of course I had to take advantage.  First off I bought a new Big Happy Planner (Daydreamer) for memory keeping and some accessories as well. All of the Happy Planner were on sale for 40% off and I used a 20% off total purchase including sale items coupon! The MAMBI Mom Life sticker book is perfect for any household or family requirements. I also used another coupon for the sticker book which was the 50% off one regular priced item. I’m not a mother nor am I married , but this book had so many great things that I just couldn’t pass it up.

The Mini Happy Planner covers were $4.99 and the folders were $3.99. The last things I bought were some decorative papers. One of them was acetate with a gold script and the other was also acetate, but with black fleur de lis. The final one was a wood grain pattern with gold foiling. I wanted to use these paper as decorative elements in my two Mini Happy Planners.
